663 million people on our planet drink dirty and dangerous water. Actually, they don’t just drink it, they work for it. They invest hours every day. And not only does it keep them out of school, or take up time that they could be using to earn money for their family, it also kills them.
That’s not an exaggeration. Diseases from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war.
But access to clean water changes that.
Clean water improves health, gives kids more time in school, empowers women, boosts economies, and gives hope for a brighter future.
Accessible Water, Sustainable Change.
Clean And Accessible Water
As part of the Life Abundantly Project where we help villages in rural Africa lead sustainable lives, we give water filters and buckets to each household. We have distributed over 300 water filters this way.
When access to water is only possible by a well, we dig and dig deep! But when there is access to water, you don’t need to dig a well. With a water filter, no one has to boil their water to make it safe to drink.
