I felt somewhat silly. I’m so insignificant, so totally ill-equipped and stunned by the impossibility of it all. It took about 32 years before I actually embarked on my first visit, but the Lord showed me afterwards … it all always starts with being willing… regardless.
The photo above was taken in the sweltering heat in a church made of reeds sharing about the Kingdom of God. The Lord showered His Love into my heart for these precious people who are the carriers & possessors of the Warm Heart of Africa. A crucial moment on that trip was the plea of the lady below that touched me deeply.

BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD!
Merely a year ago the Lord stirred up this (His) vision in my heart. My first sense was an anxious excitement and then the realization just how ill equipped I was for a “project” of this dimension. What I heard the Lord impart was: “I want to bring my Kingdom into each home starting in Malawi (one village at a time) and change death, bondage and desperation to Life, Freedom and Purpose.
I sat before the Lord having an open and honest conversation with Him: “Lord I don’t know how this can be done. Where do I start, who will help me, where will the money come from? If You don’t provide, nothing will happen! I can’t do this Lord. I’ll go as long as I can with what You give me but if the supply stops, I stop!
I felt the Lord speak to my heart. I didn’t ask you to carry this Vision; I will – it is mine”
God never stopped supplying. From start to finish it has all been HIM!!! Praise and Glory to His Name alone!
So here we are coming to the successful completion of the first project to transform the lives of 10 precious families.
So, as part of the Thanksgiving celebrations, I dedicate this newsletter to giving Thanks to our Loving God for all that He has done to change the destiny of those 10 families (about 100 people) from sickness, hopelessness and despair to Life, hope and Blessing.
This was a wonderful team effort of many who volunteered in multiple ways. The family of God came together in an amazing way to launch, sustain and complete this first tiny step. Thank you!! The Bible teaches that God is no mans debtor. I have found that absolutely true. He will never be in debt to us because He always out-gives us. I know He will reward you in return for your love and compassion.
Let’s recap of the 10 Families’ journey out of despondency
The filters made a huge difference. No sickness in any family since the filters were installed in each household. Beneficiaries sharing with neighbors:
The great blessing of change happened when the beneficiaries willingly started sharing their filters with neighbors in need.
Emergency food supplies
Maize, Rice, Beans, salt, oil to supplement the one meal a day most of them had to survive on.
Virus protection.
Teaching the basics of good Hygiene.
Improved farming skills. This year soon harvesting their own Rice Crops !!!!
Chickens: 10 chickens per family for eggs and breeding
Goats: 2 goats per family For milk and breeding
Final Phase - Toilets:
The first of 6 toilets to be completed by end of November.
Another 4 will be completed by end December to complete the Project Goal for the 10 families for 2020!
Praise our Faithful God!!
With much Thanks… also from me, Jan Koekemoer project leader of Life Abundantly, and your Family in Kajalajata!
The next 10 Families have been selected. We start all over in 2021 exactly where we were a year ago, excited with renewed faith that our God is able !! Truly He is (our and their) Deliverer!
10 more families (at least) will be blessed by our Father through His children! Hallelujah!
God Bless you and your loved ones during this “Season of Jesus!”
